The Beijing Trademark Association (BTA) marked its 30th anniversary with a grand celebration and the Trademark Development Conference. Under the theme “Together for Three Decades, Advancing with Honor”, the event gathered nearly 500 attendees, including senior officials from national and municipal authorities, leading IP scholars, representatives from provincial associations and BTA member organizations. The conference served as both a reflection on three decades of progress and a forward-looking dialogue on new opportunities and challenges in trademark protection.

On December 13, 2023, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) and the Innovation, Technology, and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR (ITIBHK) jointly announced the Implementation Guidelines for the Standard Contract for Cross-Border Flow of Personal Information within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This guideline is a follow-up to the June Memorandum of Cooperation and aims to streamline and clarify regulations for cross-border personal data flow.
