The inaugural "China-Korea Trademark System Seminar" took place on November 17, 2023, at Beijing's Hyatt Hotel. Organized by the China Trademark Association and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and guided by the International Cooperation Department of the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Republic of Korea's Embassy in China, the event addressed the growing significance of intellectual property (IP) protection amid the resurgence of global economies and the thriving China-Korea trade.
Representing Chang Tsi & Partners, Spring Chang, Michael Wu, Michael Fu, Tracy Shen, Ron Tsi and April Seo participated in the annual meeting on 15-19 November 2021 held by International Trademark Association (INTA), the biggest community in trademark industry. The China National Intellectual Property Administration (the CNIPA) has recently changed its attitude to Letters of Consent (LoC) specifically by being reluctant to accept Letters of Consent (LoC) for future cases. However, this policy has not been confirmed by the courts at current stage. As a result, we suggest you consult with your attorneys from Chang Tsi & Partners if this might apply to your cases.
