As a leading litigator, Michael excels at helping clients with the enforcement of their IP rights through administrative and judicial channels in China. He has represented clients including Fortune 500 companies in dozens of trademark and unfair competition cases securing legitimate rights and favorable judgement, and being awarded as Typical IP Cases by China Supreme Court, China Trademark Association and local courts around the country.
Michael earned his LLM from Peking University and his LLM, Intellectual Property from New Hampshire (Former Franklin Pierce Law Center). For his excellence in multiple areas, Michael lists on Asian Legal Business (ALB) China Top 15 IP lawyers (2024). LEGALBAND named him as a “Client Choice: Top 15 Foreign-Related Lawyers” in 2023.
As partner, Michael leads a professional team with more than 20 attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. He also teaches the young attorneys and associates with his knowledge and helps them to grow up faster. With his lead, he and his excellent team have won numerous high-profile cases which often attract the media’s attention. Beyond his professional success, Michael is also involved in social services by serving as a member of International Trademark Association and deputy director of Trademark Law Professional Committee of Beijing Lawyers Association.
