On July 5, 2018, Partner Chen Jianmin of Chang Tsi & Partners was invited to attend the Semiannual Meeting of Beijing Intellectual Property Development Salon and the Seminar of Intellectual Property Protection in China, Japan and South Korea. At the meeting, Ms. Chen gave a speech titled "the Trend in China's Intellectual Property Protection from a Global Perspective". The meeting was held by Beijing Intellectual Property Protection Association, together with Beijing Intellectual Property Development Salon at the first conference hall of Beijing Jingyi Hotel. Including Mr. Li Zhong, Deputy Director of Beijing Intellectual Property Office, and Mr. Zhang Qingkui, the former Secretary of Medicinal Invention Examination Department of the Patent Office of the State Intellectual Property Office, nearly 200 people of several IP experts from China, Japan and South Korea, as well as representatives from enterprises, universities and service agents, were present at the meeting.

Ms. Chen Jianmin is one of the Partners of Chang Tsi & Partners, and has been recommended as an expert of the Talent Pool for the National Intellectual Property Strategy in 2005. She used to teach in the Law School of Tsinghua University as an associate professor of Intellectual Property Law, graduate advisor, and director of practice courses such as clinical legal education. By virtue of her profound theoretical knowledge, Ms. Chen has represented many cases, some of which have had considerable influence in China. She not only specializes in various IP cases concerning patent, trademark and copyright, especially in those complex and difficult infringement ones, but also enjoys plentiful practical experience in the areas of contractual dispute and administrative litigation.
At the meeting, Partner Chen Jianmin described, in a plain manner, the complicated new features of the Intellectual Property protection in the current global context and the adaptive countermeasures thereof, and meanwhile analyzed the future development of China's Intellectual Property protection from the aspects of operation, judicial protection and judicial practice. Her speech was praised unanimously by the attendees.
With the subject of "Strengthen Overseas Intellectual Property Protection, Enhance Core Competitiveness of Enterprises", the Semiannual Meeting of Beijing Intellectual Property Development Salon and the Seminar of Intellectual Property Protection in China, Japan and South Korea has made in-depth analyses and discussions of the current development trends in overseas Intellectual Property protection, and played a positively guiding and leading role in taking various measures to enhance overseas Intellectual Property protection, such as increasing enterprises' awareness of overseas Intellectual Property protection, and strengthening the ability to take precautions against overseas Intellectual Property risks.
