Recently, invited by Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, Partner Zhong Chun provided a law dissemination conference and training regarding Concentration of Undertakings and the Anti-unfair Competition Law for 347 Guangdong enterprises with annual turnovers of over RMB 5 billion yuan. About 160 legal representatives attended the training, so did over 20 members of authorities in charge of commerce from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan and other cities in Guangdong.
During the training, Zhong Chun systematically explained the background of promulgating the Anti-unfair Competition Law, differences between Chinese and Western competition culture, distinctions and connections between China's Anti-unfair Competition Law and the Western counterparts, and the complementary policies and regulations on Concentration of Undertakings. The training provided enterprises with practical guides to settlement of problems, e.g. how to handles the implementation of the Anti-unfair Competition Law, and how to better prevent illegalities concerning Concentration of Undertakings and avert the risk of violation. The event enhanced the relationship between the authorities in charge of commerce and the attending enterprises, and increased the enterprises' awareness of the Anti-unfair Competition Law and the concept of legal Concentration of Undertakings.
