Philip Qin is a lawyer and the Chief Operating Officer at Chang Tsi & Partners. With over a decade of experience, he has served numerous large-scale internet enterprises, bringing a global perspective and extensive management expertise in corporate legal affairs, intellectual property, risk control, compliance, and more.
Before joining Chang Tsi, Mr. Qin served as Director, Vice President, and General Counsel at Alibaba Cloud, where he established a comprehensive risk control system and achieved significant results in litigation and dispute resolution, legal research, intellectual property management, contract oversight, and corporate governance. His contributions received widespread recognition within the industry.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Qin held key positions at Baidu Group, including General Manager of the Patent Affairs Department, General Manager of the Online Management Department, and General Manager of the Legal Department. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in helping the company win several prestigious awards, such as the "National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise," "China Top 100 Innovation Enterprises" (first echelon), and Asia IP Elite. He also contributed to the company's achievement of its first-ever "China Invention Patent Gold Award," as well as the "China Invention Patent Silver Award."
As Chief Operating Officer at Chang Tsi, Mr. Qin oversees the daily operations of the firm, ensuring efficient management and the delivery of high-quality services to clients. Additionally, as Vice Director of the firm's management committee, he supervises patent applications and commercial legal matters, directly overseeing the work of the patent application, patent process, and commercial legal departments.
