Philip Qin, a lawyer, is the Chief Operating Officer of Chang Tsi & Partner. With over a decade of experience, he has served numerous large-scale internet enterprises, bringing an international perspective and rich management experience in corporate legal affairs, intellectual property rights, risk control, compliance and other areas. Prior to joining Chang Tsi, Mr. Qin served as a director, vice president, and general counsel at Alibaba Cloud, where he established a comprehensive risk control system and achieved significant results in litigation and dispute resolution, legal research, intellectual property, contract management, corporate governance, and etc.. He received high recognition from the industry.
Previously, he held the positions as the General Manager of Patent Affairs Department, General Manager of Online Management Department and General Manager of Legal Department at Baidu Group. During his tenure, Mr. Qin helped the companies to win many awards such as "National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise", "China Top 100 Innovation Enterprises" (the first echelon), and Asia IP Elite. He also contributed to the companies’ first-ever highest award in the patent field, the “China Invention Patent Gold Award,” as well as the “China Invention Patent Silver Award” and etc..
As the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Qin is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the law firm. He coordinates, supervises, and manages the firm’s operations to ensure efficient functioning and the delivery of high-quality services to the clients. As the Vice Director of the firm’s management committee, he is in charge of managing patent application and commercial legal business, directly overseeing the work of the patent application department, patent process department, and commercial legal department.
