The 2021 Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) was held on 15-19 November 2021. With over 3,000 brand professionals around the world, the meeting provides knowledge sharing and business development opportunities, making it one of the most important events for the trademark industry.
Spring Chang, Michael Wu, Michael Fu, Tracy Shen, Ron Tsi, April Seo and other colleagues from our professional team have participated in different sessions of the meeting. In addition, Spring Chang, Michael Fu, Emma Ma and Daisy Qin were invited to join the Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee, Enforcement Committee, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and Publication Committee of INTA respectively, further supporting the trademark community.
From Building a Better Society Through Brands to Innovation and the Future of IP, all issues concerning the industry were deeply covered and discussed. We were also very happy to learn and share during the sessions.
The annual meeting also officially announced its 2022–2025 Strategic Plan, which maintains a strong focus on the priority policy issues of the global intellectual property (IP) community, such as anti-counterfeiting and enforcement, brand restrictions, and harmonisation, but also expands INTA’s mandate further to include societal issues that interact with IP and have an impact on brands, brand professionals, and the public.
