Entrusted by one of our clients, an international shoe manufacturer based in USA, Chang Tsi & Partner conducted careful probe into counterfeiting products bearing the trademark of our client in March, 2012. We then reported the clues to the local authority for industry and commerce and Police Office in Guangzhou, Guangdong Prov., which inspected a suspect location stored with great amount of counterfeiting goods. Over 10,000 pieces of finished and semi-finished counterfeit shoes and more than 3,000 pieces of counterfeit packages and labels bearing the trademark of our clients were seized on the spot. All the counterfeits have been confiscated, and the case is currently under further disposal.
The raid action, made possible by our investigations beforehand, represented a strong determination and action to protect the right of trademark owners. Our client has expressed great appreciation of our prompt actions. This raid also spells an effective warning to potential infringers.
Entrusted by our clients, two attorneys from Chang Tsi & Partners went to Tianjin Customs, Chongqing Customs and Chengdu Customs to set up training programs about customs protection on IPR, and the training programs include several world well-known brands.
